Research
Our Laboratory uses micro- and nano- scale technologies to solve problems in biology and medicine. We focus on translational research to ensure technologies developed in the lab find practical application in the research or clinical setting
Current projects pursued in the lab can be broadly classified into 3 focus areas:

- Microfluidic Molecular and Cellular Analysis
- Physiologically relevant cellular level models of organs and tissue
- Nanotechnology based approaches to study intracellular signaling
Our current work focuses on lab-on-a-chip platforms to accomplish label fee cell sorting, detection of infectious diseases and for profiling disease biomarkers.

Current work focuses on replicating the complex biochemical and mechanical loading environments of complex tissue and organs such as the heart, blood vessels, bone and cancer tissue.
We are currently developing techniques to deliver trackable molecular nanoparticle based tags to determine sub-cellular localization of proteins and other biomolecules.
